On guy fawkes you get together with your family and friends to watch fireworks and make memories with each other.It is celebrated every 5th of november Guy Fawkes also known as Guido Fawkes the name he adopted while fighting for the Spanish was a member of a group of provincial English Catholics who planned the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605. Fawkes was born and educated in York.Here are some facts.
- Guy Fawkes was an experienced soldier. Although he didn't fight for his country, he fought for the Spanish against the Dutch in the Netherlands. This is where he gained experience with explosives, and also where he decided to call himself Guido.
- During his involvement in the Gunpowder Plot, Fawkes called himself John Johnson and gave this name when arrested.
