Today we had technology we did not cook anything today because Mrs Tuipulotu was away.Instead we had a kind teacher named Mrs Heka she taught us about the equipment she uses in her own cooking class and told us a little bit about herself and what she does here at Tamaki Collage.We learnt about safety hazards in this picture the safety hazards I found were.A lady wearing slippers,Pets inside the kitchen,electric cord going across the kitchen when water is on the ground and the fridge was open.The Reasons choices I found were,Rubbish,dishes,meat left out, and open cans.This was the photo we had to identify the wrong things in there.We also did a word find and I got about 55% of it done the challenging thing about today was the word find and the best thing about today was meeting a new teacher.

WALT:understand the meaning of turangawaewae and relate to it through art.
Today was a cool session we made art about turangawaewae and how it affects our
culture.The hard thing about today was staying in between the  lines when painting the ink.The thing I enjoyed was cutting out the art because me and my friend had a challenge.

Today we learnt about Turanganawaewae that means a place to stand.What I found interesting about this task was putting the missing words into place.A place that I will call safe is school because all my friends are kind to me and help me around when im sad this is were my place to stand is.

John Pule(Niuean Artist)

KiaOra today I researched about John Pule who is a Niuean artist.What I like about him is that he likes dose art about his culture and tells stories about his life and journey.The picture on the bottom right corner he shows how he traveled from niue to New Zealand.We will be making our own tapa cloths inspired by cultural artist.

Red nose day (cure kids fundraiser)

Today we came to school in red because today was red nose day for our school.We had to bring a golden coin donation to help support cure kids if you don't know what cure kids is you can go to this website https://curekids.org.nz/] what I learnt about cure kids was that they help kids with illness and it is also a charity.This morning I wondered why are we giving a gold coin donation well I found out that it was not directly given to the children it goes to like scientist so they can research more about these illnesses so maybe in the future they could find a cure or a way to stop it from happen so hopefully the population of people that are sick will drop

.Also after morning tea a guy named coach Alan that worked for kelly sports he planed games for us to play they were Rob the nest,Noodle hockey,capture the flag this other game you had to be in 2 teams and through the ball to your teammates to get people out from the other team but you are not allowed to move if you have the ball you have to reach out and tag them and if you do get tagged you have to be in the other team and the last man standing wins.It was fun and it also was challenging what I found hard was whacking the ball with the noodle and what I found easy was defending my nest when we were playing rob the nest.
-Cure kids is..A charity and health research..That means..They help support people with sickness and fundraise money for them so they can be cured.
-An example of ways they support children's health is..You can give a gold coin donation.
-Today I participated by...playing the games and I was using teamwork and good strategies when I was playing rob the nest I was being a good defender and helping my team out
-By support cure kids,I hope my impact is...Making the research be done, and also so they so they find more cures and people can be better.

Ready for term 4!!

Nau mai,hoki mai ki taku rangitaki.Ko tenei te wahonga tuawha o te tau! kei te pehea to hararei?.One thing I am really looking forward to this term is...Making more memories here at T.P.S and also the cool trips coming up this term.But the main thing out of all of them I am looking forward to is going to waiwera hot pools,because It will be my third time there and I want to make the most of that day.my personal goal for my last term of 2017 is...Stepping up when being a student leader by leading the younger students and helping them out to do the right things at here at school.To fully enjoy these end of year opportunities,I will need to remember to...showing the school values in school and out of school,Being a rolemodel to the younger students,showing responsibility,and being consistent when It comes to all of those things and many more.

Technology Reflection-Sweet chilli chicken

Today me and my partner michael made sweet chilli chicken.For technology we made sweet chilli chicken with rice the ingredients we used were,1.2 drum stick ,1/2c tsp,pepper,salt,mixed herbs,chilli sweet sauce.2,Marinade before fry until fully cook,wait till golden brown and serve it with rice.What I found challenging today was not making the chicken burn because we had to keep turning it and flipping it and what I found easy was topping the chicken with the spices and herbs next week we will be having a reliever because Miss Tuipulotu will not be here.I am looking forward to next term because we will be making even more better things and I can learn more.I am also going to try cook this at home.
